Between the Trees
Emma's first solo show in the impressive atrium in Aras an Chontae by Offaly County Council Arts Office as part of their Support to Artists Scheme.
To see ‘between the trees’ is like reading between the lines.
Emma Barone 2005
Trees are the oldest and largest living things on the planet.
The first trees appeared here some 390 million years ago.
Spending time in the company of trees can have a very nourishing and supportive effect, helping to lift our spirits and inspire us.
This is why I choose trees as a theme for my exhibition.
Through my paintings I have tried to capture the ancient magical spirit of trees.
There’s more to trees than meets the eye.
Its what you don’t see… that’s what I am hoping to convey in my exhibition.
I hope in some way these images will touch my audience & allow me to show you how to see between the trees.
